The British Shakespeare Company are proud to be invited back to the stunning purpose built Havlyst Open Air Theatre in Norway. This is a truly magical and intimate venue that is perfectly suited to the works of William Shakespeare.

In 2006 The British Shakespeare Company sold out at Ramme Gaard in a matter of hours and received both critical acclaim and a standing ovation at each and every performance.

This is an idyllic setting for two of Shakespeare's most popular plays: Henry V and As You Like It. Henry V is Shakespeare's most powerful, popular and compelling history play and As You Like It his wittiest and best-loved romantic comedy.

These productions are performed in beautiful Elizabethan costumes by a cast of seventeen of Britain's finest professional Shakespearian actors. They will include live music, action, exciting sword fights and hilarious comedy all set in the stunning natural surroundings that Shakespeare intended for his plays.

A magical open-air festival of love, laughter and amorous adventure, performed by a company that continues to delight audiences and critics alike.

Ramme Gaard

The theatre stage is an impressive two floor high "espalier" and the stage backdrop and surroundings come alive with beautiful plants in the summer. In the garden there are several fountains, ponds and unique works of art, including a statue of Shakespeare by Per Ung and the Venus and the Lovers by Peter Linde.

The summer setting is a wonderful, environmentally-friendly meeting place with a café and shop selling vegetables, meat, eggs, milk and honey from the farm, other ecological products, books and a small gallery. This is one of the world's most beautiful settings to enjoy the works of the world's greatest playwright.
